# About this ledger

This repository is the public, timestamped scoreboard for Dealmakers Digest.

- Each row is a corporate deal, scored and committed to this public repo. `Scored` is the date
  of that commit. GitHub records the push time on its own servers, independent of anything set
  locally in the commit, and the full history has been public since this repo went live.
  Anyone can audit it.
- Two tables: **the live table** (scored within 14 days of the event, before the outcome was
  known; `prospective = Y` in the CSV) and **the calibration table** (scored well after the
  event, with the scoring lag stated). A row's table is fixed at the moment it's scored and
  never changes as time passes.
- The scores and outcomes are public. The scoring methodology (the exact rubric and models)
  is proprietary and is NOT published here.
- Nothing here is investment advice. These are research observations about historical market
  reactions, exploratory and small-sample. Quarterly report-backs include the misses.
